Latest jewelry stuff

In Louisiana EVERYTHING this time of the year is about the Saints and LSU.
I confess...I'm not crazy about football. BUT.. I like making stuff.

16 Birthday Wishes

I made this card for my daughter's friend, along with a banner and a yard sign.
Her Sweet 16 theme is dots, pink, black & white.

I used scraps from the banner. I think the pattern paper is Paper Studio.
The 16 is 7Gypsies stamps and the Wishes for you is a Studio G stamp from M's.

This is the yard sign made from a poster board, circles punched from the scraps leftover from the banner, and I cut 'Emma's 16' with the cricut using the Plantin SchoolBook cartridge.

Here's all the stuff waiting to go to the party..

Even the bag has scraps on it!
I used her initial and stuck the dots on. Inside that pink bag is a big zebra blanket I just know she'll LOVE. I hope she has a wonderful Sweet 16 !

This week has been crazy! Hopefully next week I can get a few things knocked off my "to make" list.
I picked up the Teresa Collins Sophisticated cartridge at M's the other day. Can't wait to get a chance to make some cuts from it. I'm still trying to figure out what to do for my ATC's.

ATC - Flowers

Flowers

Last month 'flowers' was pulled out of the bucket at our stamp group.
I used a Stampabilities background stamp with black ink,
Studio G for the letters, inked the edges with green,
randomly traced the leaves with a startdust pen <3 ,
punched a label and cut it in half, punched the bottom edge
and added paper flowers.

They didn't come out like I wanted them to, I was wanting something with more of a "pop". Most of my ATC's lack color. I like black and creams and sparkle and usually stay in that whole area of my comfort zone. : ) But I have been on a blue and green kick lately, so I decided to do the flowers in blue. I could've done better, I just didn't take the time to. Usually, I'll plan first and make a few different ones and then choose one from those.

Next month is coffee or tea..hmmm

SMASH Book !!!!

I'm so excited!!!
I FINALLY got all the SMASH stuff I ordered. Well..all but 2 more books.
I have the retro and another pink on backorder. My daughter saw the pink one and loved it.
I was in shock. Watch...when the retro one comes in, she's gonna want that one....

I thought it was going to take forever! I had to order from 3 different companies to get it all.
But it's here..and that's what matters : )

And K&Co. is coming out with more Smash stuff too!
I hope they come up with something a lil different for the accessories though.

Paper Flowers

I was looking on YouTube
and came across some beautiful paper flowers...
so I had to give it a shot.
These are so easy!

Punch hearts
Crumple hearts & flatten them out
Take a brad and start with smaller hearts and work your way up in size
close brad
shape as desired

I used pigment ink on the pink and yellow flowers.

I'm sure glimmer mist would look awesome
or maybe just inking the tips
or glitter around the tips
or all over!

TP Minis

Huh?
Toilet paper rolls?
Oh yeah!
I had never heard of it before,  but wow! There are tons of minis out there just waiting to inspire you.
We made toilet paper roll minis for our stamp group project.

A fellow member gave us a tip: after flattening them with a bone folder..iron them!

Cover with paper..
Punch 1 hole or two holes..
Bind them together with ribbon, book rings, whatever you prefer..
Make some tags to put inside the rolls..
Embellish!

I made fillers to put between the rolls. Extra ATC's that were laying around went in there. My cuttlebug came out of hiding too. One roll was covered with some serious sparkles. On the black and brown one, I didn't cover all of the rolls. Some I just took a marker to.  You can also use a cinch or a bind it all.

I know..I'm so funny!

Fleur de lis coasters

A friend showed me how to make these. I just LOVE them! I love things that have more than one use. I get bored with decor easily, always wanting to change things around. So, I can use them for more than just coasters. Like put them on a mini stand, or hang them on the wall with ribbon, twine, or nothing at all. This project was right up my ally!

I used tumbled marble tiles. I am still experimenting with different tiles and inks.

Sports theme banner

A dear friend of mine has the most precious baby. He is such a sweet chunk of love. I offered to make a banner for his room. She is going with vintage sports as the decor. Now this is my first 'boy' banner. I looked at it for the longest time wondering what to do or add other than balls. I wasn't thrilled. Almost everything I make that needs that 'something', usually involves something sparkly. And sparkles wasn't gonna cut it this time. Naturally, it was something that's right there on my desk that I use plenty of....INK. All I did was ink the edges to give it more dimension and a bit of an aged look. It made a big difference and I was satisfied, not wanting to overdo it.
I used MTC for the collegiate letters and Sports Mania cart for the balls.

Time Flies ATC

'Anything goes' was the theme for August. I didn't get to go to the swap, so I played catch up. These were super easy. I got the stamps from Michael's, just inked heavy on the left and lighter everywhere else in silver and gold, added some sparkle in blue (which you can't see) and done. I got twelve done in less than an hour.
September's theme was 'pets'. I think I'm gonna skip that one.

I lost Happy

Last night I pulled the banners out of the box and realized that Happy was lost on this one. This was my 3rd banner and all hand cut (pre-cricut). Just thinking about it hurts my hands. Ouch. But it really SPARKLES! My son's birthday fell on Mardi Gras that year. He had King Cake and pizza and I decorated with Mardi Gras stuff (super easy) and we decorated plain Mardi Gras masks for an activity.
