In Louisiana EVERYTHING this time of the year is about the Saints and LSU.
I confess...I'm not crazy about football. BUT.. I like making stuff.

I used scraps from the banner. I think the pattern paper is Paper Studio. The 16 is 7Gypsies stamps and the Wishes for you is a Studio G stamp from M's.

Last month 'flowers' was pulled out of the bucket at our stamp group.I used a Stampabilities background stamp with black ink,Studio G for the letters, inked the edges with green, randomly traced the leaves with a startdust pen <3 ,punched a label and cut it in half, punched the bottom edgeand added paper flowers.
They didn't come out like I wanted them to, I was wanting something with Sherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00855119331291286159noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7198985355642055549.post-338970578433986852011-07-17T13:39:00.001-05:002011-07-21T16:48:14.592-05:00SMASH Book !!!!I'm so excited!!!I FINALLY got all the SMASH stuff I ordered. Well..all but 2 more books.I have the retro and another pink on backorder. My daughter saw the pink one and loved it.I was in shock. Watch...when the retro one comes in, she's gonna want that one....
I thought it was going to take forever! I had to order from 3 different companies to get it all.But it's here..and that's what matters : Sherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00855119331291286159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7198985355642055549.post-56988636304682846672011-07-16T23:17:00.000-05:002011-07-16T23:17:00.891-05:00Paper Flowers
I was looking on YouTube and came across some beautiful paper flowers...so I had to give it a shot. These are so easy!
Punch hearts Crumple hearts & flatten them outTake a brad and start with smaller hearts and work your way up in sizeclose bradshape as desired
I used pigment ink on the pink and yellow flowers.
I'm sure glimmer mist would look awesome or maybe just inking the tipsor Sherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00855119331291286159noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7198985355642055549.post-82070591434691125342011-07-11T23:53:00.000-05:002011-07-11T23:53:22.071-05:00TP MinisHuh? Toilet paper rolls?Oh yeah!I had never heard of it before, but wow! There are tons of minis out there just waiting to inspire you.We made toilet paper roll minis for our stamp group project.
A fellow member gave us a tip: after flattening them with a bone folder..iron them!
Cover with paper..Punch 1 hole or two holes..Bind them together with ribbon, book rings, whatever you prefer..Sherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00855119331291286159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7198985355642055549.post-42127775870588923042010-10-07T08:33:00.000-05:002010-10-07T08:33:37.692-05:00Fleur de lis coastersA friend showed me how to make these. I just LOVE them! I love things that have more than one use. I get bored with decor easily, always wanting to change things around. So, I can use them for more than just coasters. Like put them on a mini stand, or hang them on the wall with ribbon, twine, or nothing at all. This project was right up my ally!
I used tumbled marble tiles. I am still Sherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00855119331291286159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7198985355642055549.post-7308829228470329732010-09-09T17:24:00.002-05:002010-09-09T17:27:19.953-05:00Sports theme bannerA dear friend of mine has the most precious baby. He is such a sweet chunk of love. I offered to make a banner for his room. She is going with vintage sports as the decor. Now this is my first 'boy' banner. I looked at it for the longest time wondering what to do or add other than balls. I wasn't thrilled. Almost everything I make that needs that 'something', usually involves something Sherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00855119331291286159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7198985355642055549.post-85093693588873664682010-09-08T12:33:00.000-05:002010-09-08T12:33:37.855-05:00Time Flies ATC'Anything goes' was the theme for August. I didn't get to go to the swap, so I played catch up. These were super easy. I got the stamps from Michael's, just inked heavy on the left and lighter everywhere else in silver and gold, added some sparkle in blue (which you can't see) and done. I got twelve done in less than an hour. September's theme was 'pets'. I think I'm gonna skip that Sherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00855119331291286159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7198985355642055549.post-24601785550027678332010-07-23T08:08:00.003-05:002010-07-27T07:51:51.248-05:00I lost HappyLast night I pulled the banners out of the box and realized that Happy was lost on this one. This was my 3rd banner and all hand cut (pre-cricut). Just thinking about it hurts my hands. Ouch. But it really SPARKLES! My son's birthday fell on Mardi Gras that year. He had King Cake and pizza and I decorated with Mardi Gras stuff (super easy) and we decorated plain Mardi Gras masks for an activity.

I made white cupcakes (118) with pink K's and 13's. And we made the pom- pom things ( like Martha, except hers were gorgeous naturally) to hang on the wall and ceiling. Let's not forget the absurd amount of crepe paper for streamers. It was everywhere. which turned out to be addictive...like mint chocolate chip ice cream (for me anyways) This is only some. Many more to come. I think I'll be stuck on this for months!
I've even sold a few pieces which really made me excited to know that even though it may be few, some people like them other than myself and of Sherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00855119331291286159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7198985355642055549.post-78506494652491895732010-06-27T23:36:00.001-05:002010-09-09T17:30:11.059-05:00Baby BannerMy daughter's teacher was having a baby and wanted to give her teacher something special.Naturally, she wanted me to make a banner. So she brought home something that went with the decor of the baby's room to give me an idea of where to go with it. After much going, this is where I went..

The prettiest stuff I have made has been the fastest. I think it's weird. But hey..whatever works, right? This is the card I made for my Daddy. Patterned paper is MME, stamp is 7 gypsies. I stamped it in dove gray Stazon and embossed it. Can u believe that I was a month ahead? Wow! Though I was 2 months late. April's theme was Spring. May was patriotic. Something masculine for June. And Christmas in July. These are the ones I made. I'll try to post the others that were made by the ladies in the group for June.
Dang it! I knew I was forgetting something! I forgot March..GeezSherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00855119331291286159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7198985355642055549.post-47452808573914663382010-04-21T10:05:00.000-05:002010-04-21T10:05:54.589-05:00EggsBehind again! And so that was the case with the eggs. It happened again this year. The eggs didn't get dyed til after midnight Easter morning. The kids were up.Well, Corey wasn't, but didn't mind getting up to see who had the ugliest egg and try to make one of his own. So it wasn't like I had to drag them out of bed or anything. 1/6 isn't bad. lol.
I did get a chance to get crafty with my own Sherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00855119331291286159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7198985355642055549.post-56927157169422151372010-03-04T13:27:00.001-06:002010-03-04T13:29:11.669-06:00ATC Feb/ValentineYes, I know Valentine's Day is in February.Yes, I know it's March now.I looked at this for days and days

I haven't been very creative lately. But I did manage to make a few things since November. Ok....so, remember how I went to that stamp group meet up/ ATC swap? And I enjoyed myself so much that I was definitely going back? Ummm..yeah..I haven't made it to another swap since. I'm really really really hoping to go next month. It sat there for..oh I don't know how long, but it was long. The hardest part was getting my kids to sit still long enough to take a good picture. I love the paper I used (paper studio). I bought so much of this stuff, it's sick. This took 30 minutes max to do because I kept cutting the paper wrong. But it's good enough for now and it's Sherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00855119331291286159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7198985355642055549.post-82026412628385219162009-10-17T18:33:00.002-05:002009-10-18T12:44:33.144-05:00First ATC SwapI love drooling over these small pieces of art that can inspire anything from a scrapbook page to home decor.
I have been wanting to get started on making some of my own for about a year now. I introduced my kids to the idea of them, but they rather make them out of flash cards, being that they are just a tad bit bigger. Soon I'll put some of their little works of art on here.
So a friend Sherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00855119331291286159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7198985355642055549.post-55044304798279654462009-10-12T17:42:00.000-05:002009-10-12T17:42:58.220-05:00My kind of ribbon candyI found out the hard way that I need to see my stuff in order to use it. I bought all kinds of boxes to store stuff in. It worked for some things, but not for everything. I like to see what I have. Organizing craft supplies gets tough when you don't have a craft room and are working in shared spaces in your home. I still have a long way to go. This isn't all of the ribbon..just the 238.

It's almost embarrassing. Will I ever use it all? No. But that doesn't stop me from hoarding and buying. I do use it, just not that much. I took the ribbon off of the spools they were on and put them on clothes pins (the round ones) and some on dowels and some are just rolled tightly.
